The Nordic Network for Research Cooperation on Unaccompanied Refugee Minors is a network that was funded by the Nordic Research Council NordForsk between Autumn 2011 and December 2014. During the three years of funding, NordURM organised 7 network meetings and 4 workshops for PhD students and young researchers. It is now a dormant network, yet several of the involved researchers collaborate on new research projects.
The NordURM network aims to consolidate collaboration regarding research and research training on a Nordic level. The network also intends to develop comparative research projects concerning unaccompanied refugee minors. NordURM collaborates with the Nordic Network for Research on Refugee Children (NordRC) on conducting studies of young refugees in the Nordic countries. This collaboration has resulted in the CAGE project - Coming of Age in Exile, a Nordic research project funded by Nordforsk (2015-2019).
