Grete Dyb is head of research at NKVTS and professor II at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo. She is a qualified doctor and is a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry. After many years in clinical work, she obtained her PhD degree at NTNU with the thesis Posttraumatic stress reactions in children and adolescents. As a scholar, she was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). As a researcher, she has expanded her collaboration with international researchers through the professional organization International Society of Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS), where she was president in 2016 and held several board positions. <\/span><\/p>\n At NKVTS, Dyb has had a leadership role since the start of the center in 2004 and has led the development of research on children and young people at the centre. She has initiated and led a number of projects related to child abuse, young people exposed to violence and abuse and families, children and young people exposed to disasters.
