The study of violence against elderly showed that between 5 and 7 % had experienced violence in the last year and that perpetrator was in close relationship to the elderly in nine out of ten cases. Those exposed before 65 years had a significant risk of revictimization. There was a clear correlation between exposure to violence, health and level of functioning.
