This research project documents and analyses victims of human trafficking’s access to and experiences with healthcare in Norway. The project also examines the tension between the legal rights victims have and the practical experiences they encounter when seeking healthcare.
The project is a qualitative, inductive and interpretive study based on two different methods of data collection:
- Legal analysis of international and national laws and conventions that regulate victims’ right to healthcare.
- Qualitative in-depth interviews with victims of human trafficking and social workers who assist them.
