A week to count 2003: A study of cases involving violence in close relationships that assistance services worked with during one week in 2003.

The initiation of this survey was due to the Ministry wanting to raise the general public awareness on this type of violence, this so-called “hidden” violence and make this topic more visible. The survey was inspired by the British study “The Day to Count.” In Norway this became a snap-shot study of all of the cases assistance services work with involving this type of violence during a specific week in 2003.

This memo provides a summary and an evaluation of the survey.
