Areas of Expertise

Hilden is a social anthropologist and senior researcher at the Section for Trauma, Catastrophes and Forced Migration – Adults and Elderly. After completing his PhD at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo, in 2003, his career has involved research and development within and outside academia, including in the NGO sector, with a particular focus on applied and collaborative research on social issues. Areas of expertise are medical systems and health cultures, migration, global health, inequality in health, social justice, marginalisation, and stigma.
