Nora Braathu is a PhD student in the field of global mental health. She has a masters degree in psychology from the University of Oslo, and has experience working with implementation projects, including implementation of TF-CBT in child outpatient clinics. She has also worked with the evaluation of research applications, psychosocial consequences of COVID-19 and was part of developing a plan for psychosocial support for affected inhabitants of the Gjerdrum landslide.
Her academic interests include implementation science, global health and trauma and violence research. Her current PhD project focuses on implementing the mhGAP-IG in primary schools in Uganda. The mhGAP is a framework developed by the WHO to increase mental health literacy and scale up services in low- and middle-income countries.
